We will hold candlelight services during the holidays for people to remember and honor their lost loved ones and will collect Toys for Tots in both of our locations.

The nondenominational services of remembrance will be on December 3 at 7 p.m. in Royal Oak, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road, and December 5 at 7 p.m. in Utica, 8459 Hall Road. Guests also may bring a personalized ornament to p lace on the Christmas tree. Attendees may RSVP at 248-541-7000 in Royal Oak or 586-731-2411 in Utica.

Both locations fill their toy collection boxes every year, according to Co-owner Michael Lope.

“People attending the service are surprised to see the collection boxes,” Lope said. “But every year our boxes fill up two or three days after the service. People come back and give very generously. I think families that may still be finding their way through sad times find a little joy in helping others, especially kids.”

In 2018, one family asked people to bring or send toys to the visitation in lieu of flowers and their guests filled the boxes to overflowing.
