Planning ahead for a funeral can relieve families of financial and emotional burdens at what can be a terrible time in their lives. Representatives from William Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors will conduct free lunch and learn sessions on this topic on Feb. 27 and March 13.

On Feb. 27, Steve Privette, an Edward Jones financial advisor, will describe the benefits of funeral insurance policies and our Jim Stark will give an overview on the other elements of funeral planning. That event is at noon at Filippa’s Tap and Barrel, 45125 Mound Rd., Shelby Township.

On March 13, Michelle O’Hara, our new pre-planning specialist, will give a presentation and answer questions at 12:30 p.m. at Filippa’s. To RSVP for either event, call 586-731-2411.

“Making funeral arrangements in advance can help save money, relieve loved ones of stress and guarantee that your ceremony is personal and memorable,” Michelle says. “Paying in advance guarantees that you will get what you want at current prices.” We list the cost of common services and products on our website.
