Detroit Free Press: Funeral trends and tips for families
Posted on January 30th, 2019 by under
The Detroit Free Press recently ran two stories with useful information about how to plan and manage costs connected to your funeral.
This article reports that 59 percent of families now choose cremation over burial, a trend we see here at Sullivan & Son. The articles quotes our co-owner, Michael Lope, reporting that, even when families choose cremation, they usually still want to hold a traditional funeral service.
“It’s just that the final disposition, instead of burial, is cremation,” Mike said.
Their October 25 story offered some tips for choosing a funeral home.
